Arlene Danette LaMay Govier

Arlene Danette LaMay Govier, age 62, of Siler City died Monday, August 24, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Govier was born June 12, 1958 the daughter of Edward and Frankie Latta LaMay. She was preceded in death by parents, and two sons Dennis Greer Jr. and Jonathan Greer. Arlene loved collecting figurines and photos of her family and adored her dogs. She was a member of the First Wesleyan Church and the Grace Girls Bible Study ladies group. She spent her days as a homemaker. Arlene was survived by her husband of 32 years Roger Govier, two sons: Benjamin Greer and Timothy Greer both of Siler City, two sisters: Terry LaMay of Murfreesboro, TN and Patty Dakhoo of Lafayette, TN, and brother: Gene LaMay of Lafayette, TN, daughter in law: Mildred Greer of Siler City, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Don Southern officiating. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the Govier family.
