Anthony Parnell Elkins

Anthony Parnell Elkins, 51 of Mt. Gilead, NC went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at FirstHealth Hospice and Palliative Care, West End, NC. Anthony was born to Sam and Ann Elkins, Jr. on December 14, 1969. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Emily Crisco Elkins and their three sons: Brandon George, Joshua Parnell Elkins, and Caleb Austin Elkins. In addition, he is also survived by his father Samuel Elkins, Jr.; siblings: Marie (Lonnie) Dunn, Sam (Sharon) Elkins, Mike (Angela) Elkins, and Carrie (Tadd) Minshew along with 5 nephews and 5 nieces; 1 great nephew and 5 great nieces. Anthony is predeceased by his mother Ann Elkins and grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Adam Parnell and Mr. & Mrs. Samuel Elkins, Sr. Anthony was a former employee of Montgomery Soil and Water. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all that knew him. The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the FirstHealth Hospice staff for their wonderful care, help, and support during this time. Anthony's body will lie in repose on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Pugh Troy Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Troy, NC. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Wadeville Baptist Church, 144 Shoe Factory Rd., Mt. Gilead, NC with Tony Sedberry officiating.
