Anne Keck Allen

Anne Keck Allen, 67, of Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City died Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at UNC Hospitals. Mrs. Allen was born in Chatham County on March 18, 1948 the daughter of Ike and Frances (Groce) Keck. Anne was a 1966 graduate of Jordan Matthews High School. She received certification in both law enforcement and nursing assistant, making a career of being a service to her community. Anne attended Piney Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing rook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Ross Allen, Sr. and her parents. She is survived by one son: Steve Ross Allen, Jr. of Siler City, NC; four sisters: Mattie K. Clark of Siler City, NC, Earlene K. Ellington of Siler City, NC, Doris K. Powers of Siler City, NC, Kay K. McLaurin all of Siler City, NC granddaughters, Stephanie Rae and Andrea Elizabeth Allen; grandson, Steven Robert Allen. A graveside memorial service will be held Friday, June 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, 2343 Piney Grove Church Road, Siler City with Kenneth McPherson officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 26, 2015 following the service in the church fellowship hall. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
