Allene Barker Hart

Allene Barker Hart, 80, of Old Plank Road, Siler City died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Burlington. Mrs. Hart was born in Chatham County on June 16, 1933 the daughter of Johnie Henry and Dena (Hicks) Barker. She was employed by A J Schneierson for over 30 years and had also worked in the cafeteria for the Chatham County Schools. Allene was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rachel Barker and brother, David Barker. She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Junnie Hart, daughter: Cheryl Garrett and husband, Stephen of Liberty, NC; son: Terry Hart of Siler City, NC; grandchildren, Ashley and Jonathan Garrett; sisters: Juanita Richardson, Virginia Justice, Frances Gilmore all of Siler City, NC, Christine Harris of High Point, NC; brothers: Johnie Barker, Jr. of Bennett, NC, Earl Barker of Sanford, NC, Virgil Barker of Siler City, NC. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will follow at 2:00 PM in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Shelly Dial officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Bear Creek.
