Mary Kathryn Crocker

Kathryn Marley Crocker, 69, of Bear Creek died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Crocker was born in Chatham County on January 30, 1947 the daughter of Daniel Lacy and Mary Lula (Jordan) Marley. She was a member of Kingdom Culture Ministries in Asheboro where she worked with the Bible study group and the children's class. Kathy was employed with Quality Life Home Health as a nursing assistant. enjoyed helping people, working in her yard and fishing. She is survived by one daughter: Teresa Blackmon of Siler City; one son: Jeffrey Allen Edwards and Wife, Margie of Columbia, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Blackmon Cox, Krystal Dawn Duncan, Brittany Lynn Gobble, Krystal Tuck Barrera; great-grandchildren, Patience, Ashton and Peyton Cox, Xavier and Leia Gobble, Bella Barrera, Grayson and Ryleigh Norton; canine companion, Milo and special friend, C. L. Brooks. The family will receive friends Friday, September 2, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC and at other times at the home of her daughter, 5383 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City. The funeral will be Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shawn Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City.
