Jose Ramon Hernandez

Jose Ramon Hernandez Mejia, 28, of Siler City passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Mr. Hernandez was born March 4, 1992 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, the son of Jose Ramon Hernandez and Maira Mejia. Jose was a graduate of Jordan Matthews High School Class of 2011. He spent his working years as a landscaper. He then completed college at UNC Pembroke in 2015. Ramon was the life of the party, always smiling. He loved to play soccer and video games. He was a great father, brother and son. He is survived by his parents, significant other; Cinthia Karina Rodriguez, sons; Gael Hernandez and Ihan Rodriguez, sister; Tania Hernandez of Siler City, and brother; Jonathan Hernandez of Siler City. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 23, 2020 from 12:00-6:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC, and other time at the home of his sister Tania Hernandez, 1111 Sunrise Pl., Siler City. The funeral service will be Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 12:00 at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
